Alexander Delamere to play Falstaff

Alex is delighted to be playing Falstaff in The Merry Wives of Windsor. He has, until recently, been playing Mr Braithwaite in the hugely successful Billy Elliot the Musical in London’s Victoria Palace Theatre. Most recently he has been working on Merlin, the BBC’s Saturday night series, as a surly Innkeeper!

Alex has many years of experience on stage, television, film and radio. Stage work has taken him around the country appearing in West Side Story in London’s West End, Christmas Carol at the Liverpool Playhouse, A Small Family Business at West Yorkshire Playhouse and The Rise and Fall of Little Voice at The Coliseum Oldham. On television he has appeared in Casualty, Emmerdale, Newton Holby City and Coronation Street. Film work includes 28 Days Later, Christmas Carol and The Baby War. Dates for 3 venues in the Czech Republic

GB Theatre are delighted to announce performances at 3 venues across the Czech Republic. 11th August we will perform As You Like It in Ostrava. Friday 13th and Saturday 14th we will be at Prague Castle for Merry Wives and As You Like It, before moving on to Brno for Merry Wives on Monday 16th and As You Like It on Tuesday 17th August. Arundel Castle dates announced

GB Theatre Company are thrilled to be performing at Arundel Castle in West Sussex on Thursday 26th, Friday 27th and Saturday 28th August 2010. Arundel Castle is the magnificent home to the Duke and Duchess of Norfolk and the shows will take place in The Collector Earl’s Garden.

Norwich Cathedral Shakespeare Festival

We are delighted to be performing in the Cloister at Norwich Cathedral from Thursday 15th to Sunday 18th July 2010.

The Cathedral is over 900 years and the Norman architecture is justly famous, its history fascinating and its collection of art and objects outstanding.

We will be performing The Merry Wives of Windsor on Thursday 15th & Saturday 17th July, and As You Like It on Friday 16th & Sunday 18th July.

Doors will open at 6pm with food and drink available to buy so you can picnic before the shows. The performances commence at 7pm and will have an interval. ( FULL DETAILS )

GB Theatre Company welcomes Gabriel Thomson

We are thrilled to announce Gabriel Thomson will be joining the cast for our summer tour. Gabriel first attracted theatrical acclaim as a 12 year playing Sacha in the feature film Enemy at the Gates alongside Ed Harris and Jude Law, but he is perhaps best known for playing Michael in the BBC1 series My Family. Gabriel recently appeared in the horror film 13 Hrs.

Matt Milburn joins Shakespeare cast

GB Theatre are delighted to announce Matt Milburn is to join our 2010 Shakespeare tour. Matt played Joe Spencer in Hollyoaks for 4 years but has more recently been working in films, including Snappers which is due for release soon.

You may recognise him as the man from the San Miguel beer adverts and Eristoff Vodka being pursued by real wolves. Matt has just finished playing Jez in Tag Team at the renowned Studio Salford.

More venues and the full cast will be announced this week and rehearsals start next week. Please pass on the word to family and friends as many of these fabulous shows will sell out.
