GB Theatre Company would like to say a big thankyou to all of the organisers, volunteers, and of course to our wonderful audiences for our tour of 2012. We appreciate the hard work of our Cast and Crew and all the suppliers who helped us and were rewarded with warm applause and critical acclaim in all venues. Jack Shepherd and Jenny Stephens delivered two wonderful productions for us and Gretta Hall and Tony Brett ensured that our actors were clad in superb traditional costumes. Key support came again from Petter Olsen in Norway, The Duke and Duchess of Norfolk in Arundel, Amy Carter and Sheffield City Council, Patrick and Judith Phillips at Kentwell Hall and all of the wonderful venue managers including Bryan McDonald in Arundel and Claire at Kensington Palace Gardens. A huge cheer went up in the crowd at the announcement that Des Barrit was in the audience at Norwich Cathedral as Patron of the Festival – so a huge cheers to Des from us.
Whilst on the subject of Norwich Cathedral, we must extend a special thankyou to Cecile Tuddenham who has worked on the Norwich Festival on behalf of the Cathedral since 2009. She is standing down this year but assures us that she will continue to be involved. We thank her, wish her all the best and look forward to her future involvement.
On that note, we look forward to seeing you all in 2013 for our productions of A Midsummer Night’s Dream and The Merchant of Venice. Many thanks!
